The Gourmet Bone on Etsy is now closed.

First I want to say thank you to all of the wonderful people I’ve met because of my business here. Thanks for all the adorable pictures you’ve sent. It makes me smile to know that your pups (and cats ;) enjoyed the items I baked!

The Gourmet Bone is not going out of business, just offline for now. I will still be doing some craft shows, but I will be focusing on some new interests. My life seems to have pushed me in a new direction, sewing. Although I enjoy baking, I want to create things that don’t get eaten in 2 seconds ;)

Currently I have another shop on Etsy www.arttales.etsy.com where I am posting items I’ve made that interest me at the moment. Things vary, but it allows me to try several different things.

For those of you that were returning customers, please know that I still can be found hanging out in the chat rooms, and you can always send me a convo J

Wonder what makes them great for your Eco Dog?

"I FINALLY found a use for all those old work shirts with holes! These toys are made with pre-worn shirts that were destined for the garbage. Not on your Etsy life!

I rescued those shirts, and tore each shirt into as many strips as I could get. I mixed and matched and braided, to turn these shirts into the perfect toy!

Each shirt was washed in gentle, non-toxic soap prior to construction; also, I checked labels to make sure any printing on the shirt was non-toxic.

Braided, these toys are durable hours of entertainment for any but the strongest chewer! My own dog Bella, pictured above, loves the one I made for her, and tugs war with herself!

They come in a variety of colors, and can be multi-colored or monochromatic. Actual colors of your order may vary--if you want specific colors ask, but no guarantees.

Each toy is machine-washable, and the gentle material makes it a good chew toy for elderly dogs."

Busy Busy

My blog has taken a hit due to some unexpected family issues. My Grandma became very ill and I had to take an emergency trip to Ohio. It was a little scary there for a bit but she is doing MUCH better. Thank you everyone for your prayers.

After house sitting, I am finally back home! I have a little time to work on some new items for my other shop Art Tales before I get back into the swing of flea markets and craft shows.

Now that I am back and don't see any future things that will drag me away from updating, I should be able to keep an eye on this. So watch out for updates, specials, and always some really cute pictures of pups ;)

Little Note
